Schaeffler provides valuable training to students at NLGGTA

The Schaeffler team recently went back to a familiar stop on the Wrenches & Wisdom campaign trail, North London Garages Group Training Association (NLGGTA). This garage come college was featured in the very first episode of Wrenches & Wisdom and continues to be a great supporter of the campaign, which puts the spotlight on apprenticeships, career possibilities and training opportunities in the aftermarket.

As part of the Wrenches & Wisdom initiative, Schaeffler is providing free training to young people in the industry, and this time, 20 students at NLGGTA took part in Schaeffler’s double clutch training. Included in the course was an introduction to wet and dry double clutch systems, the removal and replacement of various components, including the clutch, gearbox and mechatronic system, finishing with common issues that can arise whilst making these repairs.

The Wrenches & Wisdom campaign will continue to visit workshops and colleges around the country into 2026, talking to garage owners, professional technicians and apprentices to promote the need for ongoing workshop training programmes, and to also discuss the currently underused resource of apprenticeships in the independent aftermarket.

Schaeffler encourages aftermarket professionals to stay updated with its latest news by regularly checking the REPXPERT app, or by visiting the website by clicking here.
