HELLA brakes now available to UK Aftermarket

HELLA has officially introduced its comprehensive range of premium brakes to the UK aftermarket, marking a significant expansion following a decade of success across Europe. The braking lineup extends beyond pads and discs to include calipers, drums, shoes, master and wheel cylinders, and wear indicators, complemented by HELLA electronics like brake-by-wire pedals and ABS sensors, positioning the brand as a complete braking solution provider.

Neil Grant, Managing Director at HELLA UK, expressed his delight at bringing the full braking portfolio to the UK, citing the proven quality and competitive pricing as key factors for early success among workshops seeking new and differentiated offerings.

HELLA brake pads are engineered to OE standards, utilising over 200 friction material components, powder-coated steel backplates, and high-shear adhesive. They feature application-specific chamfers and noise grooves for quiet and consistent braking. The pads undergo extensive testing across numerous vehicles and nearly 200,000 miles annually, ensuring safety, performance, and reliability. Ian Mattacola, Braking Product Manager at HELLA, emphasised that each pad mirrors the original specification for confident braking in all conditions.

Brake discs are also manufactured to OE standards, incorporating high carbon content for improved heat dissipation and reduced brake fade where necessary. A water-based coating provides corrosion protection and simplifies installation by eliminating the need for pre-cleaning. All discs hold ECE R90 approval, confirming their safety and integrity.

Matching this commitment to quality, HELLA calipers are new units, 100 percent bench-tested and ready for installation without requiring a surcharge or core return. Each caliper includes essential mounting hardware for a quick and hassle-free solution for technicians.

With approximately 6,000-part numbers currently available in the UK, HELLA plans to expand its braking offer to over 9,000 references, providing increased support for UK workshops. The new braking range will be showcased at Automechanika Birmingham from June 3-5 on stand Q80.
