Ring Automotive point out multi-functionality of SmartCharge Pro Range

Ring Automotive is highlighting the diverse functionality of its SmartCharge Pro range, clarifying that these units serve not only for battery care but also as comprehensive battery support systems for the modern workshop. While previously marketed under the SmartCharge Pro name, Ring is now actively promoting their professional range by their dual function as battery support units.

These intelligent units are engineered to provide enhanced functionality and reliability, offering increased value for technicians. Beyond smart charging technology that optimises battery performance, they also function as battery support units, delivering a constant 13.6V output to ensure uninterrupted power during diagnostics and data uploads.

The SmartCharge Pro range is available in 100A, 50A, 30A, and the latest 20A models. Each unit offers three core functions: smart charging, battery support, and built-in diagnostic tools for battery and alternator testing.

The new 20A SmartCharge Pro extends its capabilities further by including an 80A jump-starting function, making it a four-in-one solution. This addition aims to provide busy technicians with a versatile, reliable, and efficient tool in a single compact unit.

Henry Bisson, Marketing Director at Ring Automotive, explained that the emphasis on “battery support units” better reflects the multi-functional nature of the range, potentially reducing the number of tools required and saving costs for workshops. He added that the expansion of the battery support unit range is driven by customer feedback, with a particular demand for multi-use equipment to streamline workflow.
