Race Panda team receives GSF Car Parts backing for Race of Remembrance

Team Panda is gearing up to compete in this year’s Race of Remembrance at Anglesey Circuit on the 8th – 9th November. The 12-hour race tests both mechanical and physical endurance, bringing together teams, veterans and supporters from across the UK in a weekend that honours the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces community.

Led by Dean Lomas, Race Panda has built and prepared a unique Fiat Panda entry, currently the only Panda competing on British Racing circuits.

The car has been heavily modified for competition, with many of these parts provided by GSF. It features rebuilt and overhauled engines, upgraded camshafts, and performance components such as an upgraded exhaust and tyres.

Through the partnership with GSF Car Parts, the team is proud to help get Mike Burton behind the wheel for this year’s Race of Remembrance. A former Royal Lancer who was medically discharged after 15 years of service, Mike found purpose and recovery through motorsport. His journey-from managing Mission Motorsport’s Defender Challenge entry to working with Jaguar Land Rover has come full circle as he joins the Race Panda team at Anglesey.

Dean Lomas, Director of D C Lomas, said: “With the support of GSF, we’ve not only built a car capable of racing, but we’ve also given a veteran a chance to live out a dream and continue his journey of recovery. For me, that’s what the independent aftermarket and racing is all about. Thanks to GSF and our other partners, without the support we wouldn’t be on the grid this year, let alone having the opportunity to make a veteran’s dreams of racing come true.”
