Potholes seen to be damaging multiple vehicles weekly at Shropshire Tyre Centre

Steve Davies, the manager and owner of Tyreworks Tyre Centres in Market Drayton, reports that his business is seeing at least three customers each week whose tyres, wheels, or cars have been damaged by potholes on Shropshire’s roads.

This information comes as the Shropshire Star newspaper is running a week-long focus on the increasing problem of potholes affecting the county’s highways.

Mr Davies, who has been running the company based at Burnside Business Park for the past three and a half years, stated that vehicle damage caused by potholes is a growing issue for his customers.

He noted, “I’d say at the moment it is almost three times a week – minimum. We have had two today, we had two yesterday.”

The frequency of such damage highlights the impact of the current condition of Shropshire’s roads on local motorists, as reported by a business directly involved in repairing the resulting vehicle issues.
