Lucas engine drive parts now entering European distribution channels

Following the announcement last year that BORG Automotive Newman would introduce a wide range of Lucas-branded spare parts to the European aftermarket, the programme has now moved from launch plans to reality. The new Lucas range is now on stock and ready for delivery to customers across Europe.

With more than 2,700 part numbers covering engine, chassis, clutch, transmission and wheel bearing applications, the Lucas programme has already been very well received by the market. Wholesalers and customers have welcomed the return of the well-known brand to a broad range of vehicle applications, and the parts are now gradually becoming available through leading spare parts distributors across Europe during the coming months.

The range includes over 1,600 engine-related part numbers such as timing belt kits, water pumps, V-belts, and V-ribbed belts, nearly 700 wheel bearing kits, and more than 350 clutch kits – all meeting manufacturer specifications and offering quality on par with original parts.

Becoming Europe’s biggest Lucas distributor

For BORG Automotive Group, the expansion of the Lucas brand into new spare parts is a natural step. The group has worked with the Lucas brand for many years and today stands as the largest distributor of Lucas products in Europe.

“For many years, BORG Automotive Reman has supplied remanufactured starters, alternators, A/C compressors, turbochargers, and EGR valves under the Lucas name. With the addition of this new spare parts range from BORG Automotive Newman, we significantly strengthen the Lucas presence in the market and underline our position as the largest Lucas distributor in Europe,” says Kasper Thomsen CCO at BORG Automotive Group.

Since the initial announcement, the new Lucas offer has gained strong traction among wholesalers, who are now preparing to list and stock the programme.

This positive reception is no coincidence. From the very beginning, the development of the Lucas range has taken place in close dialogue with customers across Europe. Input from key wholesalers regarding demand patterns, and local market needs has played a decisive role in shaping the programme and selecting the right part numbers for launch.

All part numbers are fully integrated into TecDoc and relevant electronic catalogues, ensuring easy identification and ordering for distributors, workshops, and retailers.

More Lucas in the future

With the programme now live and available from stock, BORG Automotive Newman is already working on expanding the Lucas portfolio further to cover an even larger vehicle fleet and meet growing market demand. BORG Automotive Newman can already now reveal they we will be adding Timing Chain Kits to the range. Based on feedback from the market, BORG Automotive Newman have already now gotten requests for this product group, and believe it will be well received by our customers and garages across Europe.
