GS Yuasa renews partnership with Gordon Shedden for BTCC 2025 return

GS Yuasa has announced the continuation of its partnership with three-time British Touring Car Champion, Gordon ‘Flash’ Shedden, as he makes his anticipated return to the BTCC grid for the 2025 season. After a two-year break, Shedden will be piloting the Toyota Corolla GR Sport for Toyota Gazoo Racing UK.

This comeback signifies a commitment to resilience and passion, qualities GS Yuasa aligns with its own pursuit of excellence in battery technology. Jessika Savage, Marketing Manager at GS Yuasa Battery Sales UK Ltd, commented: “We’re absolutely buzzing to see Gordon back on the BTCC grid – it’s where he belongs. His passion, professionalism and relentless drive reflect everything we stand for at GS Yuasa. We’ve built a strong partnership over the years, and we can’t wait to see what this next chapter holds for him – and for us.”

Shedden, a GS Yuasa brand ambassador since 2011, expressed his enthusiasm: “It’s great to be back in the BTCC and to continue my partnership with GS Yuasa. Their support has been instrumental throughout my career, and I’m looking forward to achieving more success together in this new chapter.”

The 2025 BTCC season will see the series adopt 100% renewable fuels and phase out hybrid technology. This shift aligns with GS Yuasa’s focus on sustainable energy solutions, making the ongoing partnership with Shedden increasingly relevant.
