FORVIA HELLA has announced its sales data for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2025, reporting Group-wide sales of €2.0 billion, which is approximately level with the previous year. Adjusting for currency effects, sales decreased slightly by 0.8 percent, while reported sales saw a minor decrease of 0.3 percent.
According to Bernard Schäferbarthold, CEO of FORVIA HELLA, the start to the new fiscal year was “solid overall and in line with our expectations,” with the Electronics business demonstrating successful growth. However, he noted that the market environment remains “very challenging and volatile,” citing the increasing impact of international trade restrictions on the automotive industry. The company has begun assessing the effects of tariffs and is implementing measures along its value chain in collaboration with customers and suppliers.
In the first three months of fiscal year 2025, sales in the Lighting Business Group decreased by 5.6 percent to €946 million, primarily due to the discontinuation of certain series projects, particularly affecting business in China and the Americas. In contrast, European sales in this division grew year-on-year, supported by new series launches and increased production of existing series.
The Electronics Business Group saw a 6.4 percent improvement in sales, reaching €865 million. This growth was mainly driven by the continued expansion of the radar business, especially in the Americas, following previous and new series launches in Europe. The Chinese market also showed positive development in energy management, with low-voltage battery management systems entering series production, and in vehicle access systems.
Sales in the Lifecycle Solutions Business Group experienced an 8.7 percent decline to €254 million. While the independent spare parts business remained stable, supported by an expanded offering in Asia, both the commercial vehicle and workshop products businesses saw decreases due to reduced investment, particularly among manufacturers of agricultural and construction machinery and independent workshops.
FORVIA HELLA is scheduled to release its full financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2025 on May 8, 2025.
