Delphi has confirmed its continued sponsorship of the 2026 Top Awards, a competition series designed to benchmark the skills of UK technicians, apprentices, and garage owners. The initiative aligns with the company’s focus on raising industry standards through the Delphi Academy and its digital learning platforms.
Registration is now open, with the first round consisting of multiple-choice questions due by 15 May. Successful entrants will progress through stages testing diagnostic ability and business excellence. The Top Technician semi-finals are scheduled for 3 October 2026 at the Delphi Academy in Warwick, where the top 10 participants will undertake ten live 20-minute fault-finding tasks. Aliya Lam, UK Country Director at Delphi, stated:
“Training and skills development are absolutely vital to the future of the aftermarket. As vehicles become more complex, technicians need continuous learning opportunities to stay ahead of new technologies and repair challenges.”
The competition culminates on 14 November 2026 with the final practical and business challenges. Beyond the awards, Delphi provides hands-on resources via its “tech van” and online technical support. Aliya Lam added:
“Supporting the Top Awards aligns perfectly with Delphi’s commitment to education, technical excellence and giving technicians the platform they deserve to demonstrate their skills.”
