Delphi, a brand of PHINIA Inc., has introduced its Professional+ brake pad range specifically for light commercial vehicles (LCVs). The line is engineered to manage the high-load and frequent-stop cycles characteristic of fleet operations.
The Professional+ range features a heavy-duty friction material that delivers an average of 40% longer life compared to conventional aftermarket options. During 2026, Delphi will phase in 58 SKUs, providing 70% coverage of the European LCV parc, including the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Ford Transit, and VW Transporter.
To increase workshop efficiency, all pads are supplied with pre-fitted silver shims and a sachet of grease to ensure quieter performance and reduce installation time. The pads are identifiable by a blue backplate and laser-etched “Professional+” branding. Delphi claims the advanced formulation maintains a low impact on disc wear, preserving the total braking system lifespan.
The product is backed by a five-year or 50,000-mile warranty. This follows extensive dynamometer and real-world testing. Fleet operators may see a reduced total cost of ownership due to fewer replacement intervals. For distributors and workshops, the range offers a differentiated product to secure high-mileage service contracts.
